2022 Harvest the Arts Recap

THANK YOU parents, teachers, staff, and community members for supporting Harvest the Arts (HTA) this year! We had one of our largest turnouts in HTA history and with your help, we raised a total of $10k, a new record! NEST is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit and we would not be able to accomplish events like this without the generous support of this strong and supportive community.

To the parents, family members, students, and teachers who had a hand in organizing and donating items to class baskets and creating the beautiful handmade class projects, we cannot thank you enough for your hard work, time, and effort.

We would also like to recognize these amazing Harvest the Arts volunteers:

Janna Parsons, our Auctions Coordinator, who reached out to businesses for donations, worked tirelessly to procure and itemize countless items, and organized our silent auction class baskets, live auction items, and raffles.

Sophie Bengtsson, NEST’s Room Parent Coordinator kept a line of communication going between room parents, teachers and NEST to ensure class baskets and class projects were created. Sophie also served as our event check-in host.

Todd Davidson, Director of Sound and Entertainment, provided a flawless and professional setup for audio and lighting and performed with Johnny High-Hat’s band, all while serving as master of ceremonies throughout the event.

Heather Cohen, who secured our event space at Granite Lion Cellars. We can’t think of a more perfect scenic outdoor space for Harvest the Arts.

Crissina Stone created beautiful flower arrangements for the tables and her husband, Steve Stone provided and set up the heaters for the event, which were a game changer once the sun went down and the temperature dropped. Steve also repainted the Sparrow chalkboard in the parking lot thats visible as you exit to Echo Drive.

A special thank you to Ms. Julie Gerath for helping announce our raffle winners during the event and to Mr. McCormick’s 8th grade class for the lovely chalk art HTA announcement!
